Biography
Le premier Fournier à s installer a Pointe Verte dans le nord du Nouveau Brunswick naissait a St-Charles-de-Bellechasse le 29 août 1777 et baptisé le 30 août 1777. Nous ne connaissons pas exactement la date de décès de ce dernier mais on sait que ce fut avant 1861. Son épouse Angélique Couture naissait le 26 mai 1787 à Pointe-de-Lévy, Lauzon, Qc et décéda en 1866 à Pointe-Verte.

Jacques à fait beaucoup de chemin. Né à St-Charles-de-Bellechasse, il se marie à St-Henri-de Lauzon, là où sont nés 4 premiers enfants. En 1811, il serait à Ste-Marie-de-Beauce. En 1814, de retour à St-Charles de Bellechasse. Il aurait été résident de Carleton avant de venir au NB. Une pétition pour lot vacant est fait en 1825 à la province du NB. Sur cette demande datée le 29 décembre 1825, on fait mention qu'il est à cet endroit depuis environ 8 ans. Donc, il serait arrivé dans la région vers 1817. En 1824 Angélique Couture est marraine de Vincent Lagacé, baptisé le 19 oct. 1824 à Petit-Rocher.
