Jean-Pierre Payment dit LaForest married Marie-Anne Tremblay on 10 Feb. 1698 in L’Ange Gardien, Montmormency, Quebec, Canada.1, 2 [Some records list his surname as Paymert, other as Payament.] Marie-Anne was 24 at the time of their marriage.
Marie-Anne, the daughter of Pierre and Ozanne-Jeanne Achon, was baptized on 19 March 1673 in L’Ange Gardien.1 Marie-Anne was one of 11 children. Her siblings were Madeleine, Pierre, Michel, Marguerite, Louise, Marie-Dorothee, Louise, Jacques, Jeanne and an brother with an unknown name.
Jean-Pierre and Marie-Anne had two children:
i. Pierre Payment, who was baptized on 15 Nov 1699 in St. Anne de Beaupre, Montmorency.3
ii. Marie-Dorothee Payment, who was baptized on 24 Dec 1700 in L’Ange Gardien.1, 3 She married Michel LaRoche on 2 Dec 1719 in Quebec.1
Jean-Pierre died in 1702 and was buried on 22 March 1702 at Baie St. Paul, Charlevoix, Quebec.1
Marie-Anne died at the age of 40 on 15 Dec 1713 at Hotel Dieu, Quebec.4
