Mrs. Jean (Arnold) Thurston, daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Robert T. Arnold of 15 Summer street, and Douglas Robinson Plunkett, son of Mrs. Theodore R. Plunkett of 63 Orchard street and the late Senator Plunkett, were married Saturday at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. L. Edgar Stone, Jr., pastor of the First Baptist church officiated.

Miss Faye Arnold was maid of honor for her sister. The best man was William B. Plunkett of Castleton-on-Hudson, a brother of the bridegroom.

A small reception followed the ceremony.

After a wedding trip, Mr. and Mrs. Plunkett are to reside at 9 Marshall avenue.

Jean Plunkett, 72, Jean Arnold) Thurston Plunkett, 72, of 9 Marshall Ave., Adams, died Friday, Sept. 23, 1994, at her home. Born in Adams, Dec. 27, 1921, she was a daughter of Robert T. and Elsie (Card) Arnold. She attended Adams elementary schools, graduated from the Walnut Hill School, Nat-ick, and attended Mount Holyoke College and Katherine Gibbs School, Boston. Her first position was that of secretary to the dean of Pine Manor Junior College, Wellesley, where she was employed for three years. She then returned to Adams, where she worked for her father in the office of the former R.T. Arnold Lumber , Corp.; Adams. She was employed there for 15 years until retiring. Mrs. Plunkett was a member or the First Congregational Church, Franklin Chapter 92 Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of the Adams Chamber of Commerce, and a former member and past secretary of the Adams Arts nd Crafts Club, all in Adams.
