William D. Cooper was born on the 15th of June in 1872 to James Lewis Cooper and Lorinda Rebecca Hart Cooper. He was born in Eaton Rapids, Eaton County, Michigan. As a young child, William and his family moved to Sodus, Wayne County, New York. They were there for a short time, and moved to Amber, Mason County, Michigan. This is where William grew up. William was a farmer, as was his father. He never married, and he died quite young, at almost 27 years of age. He had contracted Typhoid Fever, and did not survive it, as so many in the area at that time. William died in Amber on the 27th of October, 1899.
