A native of Brattleboro, Vt., he attended schools there, earning his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in music education at Ithaca College. Mr. Robb had done additional graduate work at New York University, Ithaca College and State University of New York at Potsdam.

He was a member of the Massena Teachers' Association, the New York
State Teachers' Association and the New York State School Music.

Association. In 1972 Mr. Robb retired from Massena Central after 41 years of teaching.

Mr. Robb served seven years in the 172 Infantry-Band of Vermont National Guard and during World War II spent two years as Technical-Sergeant-Instructor in the United States Army
Band. Training Unit at Camp Lee, Va.

Mr. Robb was married to the former Mabel Henry and they had one son, John.

The operation aimed to liberate Western Europe from Nazi German control. The landings marked the beginning of the end for Nazi Germany, leading to the eventual Allied victory in Europe.

1945 - The atomic bomb is invented (J. Robert Oppenheimer, et al., United States)

The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket. Experimenting further, he discovered microwaves could cook food quickly. Raytheon patented the process, and by 1947, they built the first commercial microwave oven, called the 'Radarange.'
