Jean-Baptiste  married  Marie-Catherine ETHIER 16 August 1787 in Sainte-Geneviève, Province of Québec, Canada .  Marie-Catherine ETHIER  was born 1 December 1743 in Sainte-Geneviève, Québec, Canada (Pierrefonds)*.  Marie-Catherine died 7 April 1814 in Saint-Eustache, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Catherine was the child of Joseph ÉTHIER and Marie-Catherine LAUZON.

Jean-Baptiste LANTHIER died 31 May 1821 in Saint-Eustache, Lower Canada.
