Joseph GÉLINEAU dit DANIEL  was born 11 January 1760 in Longueuil, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine-de-Longueuil).  Joseph died 2 November 1829 in Marieville, Rouville, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Marie-de-Monnoir).  Joseph was the child of Nicolas GÉLINEAU and Marie-Louise BOURDON.
