Douglas A. Scott
ADAMS - Douglas A. Scott, 74, of 95 Summer St. died yesterday afternoon at his home after a long illness.- T Born in Adams on Jan. 11, 1913; son of William C. and Mary Carduff Scott, he attended local schools. He served with the Army National Guard, Company M of Adams, during World War II. He was a retired employee of the former Arnold Print Works, for which he worked for 48 years. Mr. Scott was a member of the First Congregational Church, the Adams Management Club and the Arnold Print Works Quarter-Century Club and an honorary member of the Adams Turners. He leaves his wife, the former Doris I. Slade, whom he married June 18, 1938. Private services will be tomorrow at a time to be announced at the McBride Funeral Home. The Rev. Harvey L. Pierce, pastor of First Congregational Church, will officiate. Following cremation, burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours for the family only.
