'As for Marie Lamoureux, she was born at Chambly, on 27 August 1685. She inherited her first name on the following 29 September from her godmother Marie Leber. The record is at Contrecoeur. About 1702, at Riviere-des-Prairies, she took for her husband, Jean Millet, son of Jacques and Catherine Lorion. They had a daughter who died on 10 March 1703. After the death of her husband on 17 June 1714, Marie was married a second time, on 18 February 1715, to Jean Roy, widower of Madeleine Courtemanche, father of four children. The second spouse, after giving her two sons, died in his turn on 27 November 1718. The widow gave her hand to Pierre Ranger dit Paquet on 8 September 1721, at Riviere-des-Prairies. There were no children.'
