Marie-Francoise  married  Antoine BENOIT dit LIVERNOIS 3 November 1772 in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu, Province of Québec, Canada .  The couple had (at least) 1 child.
Antoine BENOIT dit LIVERNOIS  was born 15 May 1750 in Saint-Charles-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada.  Antoine died 5 November 1800 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur).  Antoine was the child of Jean-Baptiste BENOIT dit LIVERNOIS and Marie-Anne GIPOULOU dite LAFLEUR.

Marie-Francoise  married  (2) Raphael CAOUETTE (CAOUET) 27 January 1806 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada .  Raphael CAOUETTE (CAOUET)  was born 28 April 1732 in Cap-St-Ignace, Québec, Canada (Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola).  Raphael died 19 February 1818 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur).  Raphael was the child of Claude CAOUETTE (CAOUET) and Geneviève JEAN.

Marie-Francoise JARRET dite BEAUREGARD died 7 May 1824 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada .

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
