Nicolas  married  Marie-Pelagie HUNAULT dite DESCHAMPS 24 November 1749 in Repentigny, Canada, New France .  Marie-Pelagie HUNAULT dite DESCHAMPS  was born 11 January 1726 in Varennes, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes).  Marie-Pelagie died 20 September 1801 in Sainte-Thérèse, Québec, Canada (Blainville).  Marie-Pelagie was the child of Andre-Joseph HUNAULT and Marie-Anne TETREAU (TETREAULT).

Nicolas LEGARE died 7 November 1793 in Sainte-Thérèse, Lower Canada .
