Joseph was deported as part of the Acadian Exile / Grand Derangement around 1755.

He married  Felicite BOUDREAU 25 July 1774 in La Prairie, Province of Québec, Canada .  Felicite BOUDREAU  was born 6 December 1754 in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis, Nova Scotia, Canada / Port Royal, Acadia.  She died 15 June 1836 in L'Acadie, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Marguerite-de-Blairfindie).  She was the daughter of Antoine BOUDROT (BOUDREAU) and Marie Josephte LEBLANC.

Joseph BRO (BREAULT) (BRAULT) died 21 October 1827 in L'Acadie, Lower Canada .
