FORMER BEAR CREEK MAN
BURIED THURSDAY
The funeral of Louis Lyons, 74, was held at 7 o'clock Thursday morning at St Luke Church at Two Rivers. The body was brought to this village and interment took place about 11:30 at St Mary Cemetery with the Rev M. Alt in charge.
The pallbearers were four sons, Walter, Samuel, Edward, and Joseph Lyons; two sons-in-law, N. Holzschuh and Max Pahl.
Mr Lyons died Monday. He was a resident of this community for many years. He was married to Miss Louisa Leanna about 48 years ago at Bear Creek. After marriage the couple located on a farm in the town of Deer Creek where they lived until six years ago when they moved to Menasha where they resided four years. About two years ago they moved to Two Rivers.
Mr Lyons is survived by his widow, four daughters, Mrs Lillian Cavanaugh, Pequaming, MI; Mrs Emma Wangelin, Marlon; Mrs Hattie Holzschuh, Sherwood; Mrs Marie Pauhl, Appleton; six sons, Arthur of Canada; Samuel and Joseph Lyons, Appleton; Edward of DePere and Lawrence of Two Rivers; four brothers, Andrew, Julius, Oliver and Anthony of the town of Deer Creek; one sister, Mrs Mary Joubert of Minnesota and 31 grandchildren.
Among the relatives from out of town that attended the funeral were the following: Mr and Mrs Holzschuh and son Roman and daughter Armella, Appleton; Mrs Peter Derfus, Mrs N. Holzschuh, Sherwood; Mr and Mrs Joseph Pelkey, Anna Pelkey, Oshkosh; Mr and Mrs Frank Leanna, Waupaca; Mr and Mrs Levitt Philips, Waupaca; Mrs Frank Pelky of Lena, Oliver Lyons and daughters, Violet and Beatrice and son Norman of Two Rivers; and Mr and Mrs A. Wangelin of Marion.
