Obituary
Coventry, RI - Philip Henry Brindamour, 85, formerly of Pond View Drive, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 4, 2022. He was the loving husband of Dorothy (Trump) Brindamour and son of the late Florimond and Marie Anna (Ouellette) Brindamour. He leaves his son, Kenneth Brindamour (Cynthia), daughter Cathy Davide (Roland), late son James Brindamour (Marsha Ireland), and stepson David Carl. He is also survived by grandchildren Timothy Brindamour, Shawn Davide, Amy Carlton, Melissa Muniz, John Brindamour, Brad Davide, Samantha Foster, Nathan Brindamour, and 22 great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Coventry High School, Phil enlisted in the US Air Force and was a Training Aids Instructor at Fort Belvoir. He completed coursework at CCRI and Providence College and had a 30-year career as a Cartographer with the Defense Mapping Agency. He was also employed as a sign painter during those years. Many boats sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay were lettered by his capable hands.
Phil and Dorothy sailed throughout the varied waters and harbors of southern New England and New York for three decades. Together they coordinated the Shepherd's Table soup kitchen at Phenix Baptist Church for 16 years in concert with other local ministries and volunteers. He was a member of Norwood Baptist Church, Warwick where he served on the Missions Ministry Team. He was a lover of books, animals, the Red Sox, and the Patriots. Phil especially loved being with family and friends, sharing banter, food, and card games.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Carpenter-Jenks Funeral Home, 659 East Greenwich Avenue, West Warwick, RI immediately followed by a funeral service at the funeral home beginning at 12 Noon. Burial with military honors will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
