BLANID M. DECATUR, 81

Blanid M. (Reidy) Decatur, 81, of 24 Sears Island Road, died Wednesday night in her home after an illness.

Her husband, Henry Decatur, died in 1971.

She leaves three sons, Steven A. Decatur of Millbury, David C. Decatur in Florida and James Decatur in Maine; three daughters, Ann L. Flagg, Patricia A. McCleery and Shirley Hendricks, all in Florida; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of George E. and Eugenia (Crowley) Reidy, and lived here all her life.

She graduated from Framingham State Teachers' College in 1930.

Mrs. Decatur was a teacher for many years in the Worcester public school system. She was then a dietician for 20 years at Worcester Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1973.

Mrs. Decatur was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Aug. 19 in Immaculate Conception Church, 353 Grove St. After cremation, burial will be at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

The family requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made instead to the Hospice Program of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Massachusetts, 120 Thomas St., Worcester, 01608.
