WIKNIK, Daniel J.

Daniel J. Wiknik, 30, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday (June 1, 2010). He was the beloved husband of Amy (Lizotte) Wiknik. He was born in Middletown and raised in Higganum. He worked as a HVAC technician for Glasco Heating & Air Conditioning. He was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed taking his wife for rides on his Harley. He also had a special love for his cat, "Babes." Besides his wife, he leaves behind his mother, Susan (Jasse) Wilton and stepfather Jonathan of Middletown, his sisters, Brenda Wiknik Zambrello and her husband Anthony of Berlin, Caitlin Wilton of Middletown, Amy Wiknik of Higganum, his grandparents, Raymond and Eleanor Jasse, Frances C. Johnson, mother in law and father in law, Michael and Robin Welch, and his sister in law, Heather Lizotte. He also leaves many cousins. He was predeceased by his father, James F. Wiknik.

Funeral services will be Friday (June 4, 2010), 1 p.m. at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St. Rocky Hill. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends may call at the funeral home 12-1 p.m. just prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CT Humane Society, 701 Russell Rd, Newington, CT 06111.
