Evelyn Simonelli PITTSFIELD - Mrs. Evelyn R. Simonelli, 67, of 27 Greenway St. died yesterday at Hillcrest Hospital. Born in Pittsfleld Jan. 16, 1925, daughter of the late Everett and Mary Madden Fraley, she was a 1942 graduate of St. Joseph's High School. Mrs. Simonelli was employed by GE during the war years and later worked as a saleswoman at the former Liggett's Drug Store for several years. She was a communicant of St. Mark's Church and a member of its Rosary Sodality, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 448 Ladies' Auxiliary. She also enjoyed bingo and bowling. She and her husband, Charles J. Simonelli, would have celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary March 2. Besides her husband, she leaves two sons, Charles A Simonelli and Anthony J. Simonelli, both of Pittsfield; a sister, Mrs. Mary E. Rhinehart of Pittsfield, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be Saturday at 10:15 from Devanny-Condron Funeral Home with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Mark's Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael A Shershanovich, assistant pastor. Burial will be in St Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lions Club through the funeral home.
