"Fraley Accident
Frank C. Miner, Jr., of 213 Fenn street, was operator of the car which skidded on ice at 1.10 p. m., and hit Mr Fraley. He was removed to the hospital, stayed there one day and went home where he relapsed into a coma and was again taken to the hospital. He failed rapidly until his death, never having regained consciousness. Dr. Chares R. Sullivan, Jr., who attended Mr. Fraley, said tonight that in his opinion a cerebral hemorrhage caused death and resulted from the accident."

"Dr Hughes said the family had refused to allow him to conduct an autopsy. Miner was arrested on a complaint of operating to endanger and his case is now pending in district court."

"Mr Fraley was born at Pittsfield October 23, 1856, son of August and May Fraley. For more than 50 years he was a loom fixer at the old Pontoosuc and James Wilson textile mills. He retired in 1927. For several seasons he was employed by the late Peter Hodecker, skipper of the Pontoosuc Lake steamer Lafayette and he served as a special policeman at Pontoosuc Lake park. Mr. Fraley was a member of Lutheran church, Pittsfield Aerie of Eagles and Turn Verein society."

"On November 13, 1878, Mr Fraley was married to Miss Amanda Fairfield of Pittsfield and they observed their 60th wedding anniversary month be-last."

"Survivors besides the widow are two sons, Everett of Pittsfield and Clifford of Dalton; three daughters, Miss Ada E. Fraley and Mrs Edgar T. Copeland of Pittsfield and Mrs Edward Learned of Hartford, Ct.; also 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The body was removed to Wellington funeral home."
