Ellen Merritt Shower Guest

A bridal shower was given in the home of Mrs. Edmund Neff, 211 Willis Avenue, Endicott, recently in. honor of Ellen Kolb Merritt of 22 Mildred Avenue, Johnson City.

The honoree, daughter of Mrs. Bessie Kolb of the Johnson City address, will be married July 16 to Wilfred B, Andrews of Westover.

Cohostesses at the party were Miss Eleanor Hopkins and Miss Vera Whipple.

Twenty friends attended the party. Gifts were presented in treasure-hunt fashion.

Ellen K. Merritt, W. B. Andrews Wed

A chapel wedding was performed today in All Saints Episcopal Church, Johnson City, for the marriage of Ellen Kolb Merritt and Wilfred B. Andrews. The Rev. G. Clayton Melling, rector, officiated. The informal ceremony took place at 2 o'clock this afternoon with only members of the immediate families present.

The former Mrs. Merritt is the daughter of Mrs. Bessie Kolb of 22 Mildred Avenue, Johnson City, and of George J. Kolb of Waverly. Mr. Andrews is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Andrews of Cooperstown.

Mrs. John N. Brigham, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and Alfred H. Andrews, twin brother of the bridegroom, was best man.

The bride was dressed in an orchid princess-style gown with white accessories and a strand of pearls, a gift of the bridegroom. Friends were entertained at a reception in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brigham in 9 Avon Street, Johnson City, before the couple left for a wedding trip
to Gull Lake, Ontario, Canada.

Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs. Andrews will live in 647 Main Street, Johnson City. She is a teacher in the George W. Johnson School, Endicott. Mr. Andrews is employed in Binghamton by the Washington Distributing Co.
