1843 - First Baptist Church of Hudson was formed. Did Cummings Salisbury attend this church?


The JULY 8, 1843; 10 people gathered and organized themselves into a church.
The mission statement is as follows:
"We, the undersigned, having letters of dismission and recommendation from sister churches of our faith and order, do, hereby resolve to hand in our letters, and unite ourselves together for the purpose of forming a Baptist Church of Christ in Hudson, to be known as the Baptist Church of Christ in Hudson, to receive e members, either by baptism or by letter, and to do and transact any business, in obedience to the Gospel according to lay, in such cases made and provided.
Resolved, that we adopt the declaration of faith and church covenant, recommended by the Baptist State Convention of Michigan. October 6th, A.D. 1842."
SEPT. 27, 1843: Council from the Wheatland, Pittsford, Dover, Medina, and Adrian churches met in Hudson to constitute the new Church. Abiathar Powers represented the new church.
FEB. 14, 1844: Jacob Ambler becomes the 1st pastor.
WINTER 1847: Church was finished. It was located just east of the old Thompson Bank building that the Museum now occupies.
FEB. 23, 1848: The pastor's salary was $325.
1851: Pastor's salary was $300.
DEC. 13, 1851: Church fire.
1852: Construction of the new church building began at the new location, where it now stands.
1855: Pastor's salary was $250.
1857: Pastor's salary was $400 + use of a parsonage (I don't remember reading where this parsonage was located).
1885: The baptistry was installed. An organ was installed.
1887: Pastor's salary was $800 + the cost of moving for the new pastor.
1889: RELIABLE furnaces were installed. The church had been trying to procure reliable, safe furnaces in the previous years.
1906: Locks placed on the church.
1907: "Cradle roll" was instituted. 21 babies were enrolled. (Not sure what 'cradle roll' is, but sounded interesting.)
JAN. 1913: Incorporated uner the name "First Baptist Church of Hudson".
MAY 2,1920: Motion was passed to buy a property on Maple Grove, to become the parsonage. It's the same parsonage property as today.
1928: First female trustees were elected, 2 total.
1929: First (?) female pastor (?) (Ambiguous)
1950: Bus ministry begins. Ended in AUG. 1951.
1952: Pipe organ sold.
1959: Bell tower was torn down.
1997: Mark Merillat painted the picture in the back of the baptistry.
1997: Air condition was added to the sanctuary.
1998: Elevator turned on.
The longest running pastor was Rev. T. R. Dolson (1946 -June 1968)
The current Pastor Rath has been in pulpit for over 11 years.
