Agriculturally, Fleming is one of the best towns of the county. It is geographically well situated lying near the foot of Owasco Lake adjacent to Auburn with its 13,710 acres having a rolling surface and practically no waste land. The highest elevations are 150 to 250 feet above the lake and 800 to 1000 feet above tide. The soil is admirably adapted to raising hay and grain which are its principal products. Because of the close proximity to Auburn and with two railroads running through the town the market conditions are exceptionally good.
