THERE IS A THEORY THAT THIS PERSON IS SUSANNA FURNER

"THE ALLEGED MARRIAGE OF JAMES CHILTON TO SUSANNA FURNER HAS BEEN REPRODUCED MANY TIMES IN GENEALOGIES SINCE 1962. SUSANNAH FURNER'S BAPTISM WAS RECENTLY DISCOVERED IN THE PARISH REGISTER OF ST. PAUL'S CHURCH, CANTERBURY. IT READS AS FOLLOWS:"SUSAN FURNER THE 5TH DAYE" NOVEMBER, 1573. THE CHILTON'S FIRST CHILD, ISABELL, WAS BAPTISED ON JANUARY 15TH 1586. THIS WOULD MEAN THAT HER ALLEGED MOTHER, SUSANNA, WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY 12.5 YEARS OLD WHEN SHE MARRIED JAMES CHILTON WHO WAS THEN ABOUT 29 YEARS OLD. SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN ONLY 13 WHEN SHE GAVE BIRTH TO ISABELL. THIS IS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. SINCE THERE IS NO RECORD OF JAMES CHILTON'S MARRIAGE, UNTIL NEW EVIDENCE IS FOUND, MRS. CHILTON'S IDENTITY REMAINS A MYSTERY."
