Philip Welker, of Bardonia, formerly of the Bronx, passed away on Sunday Nov. 28, 2004 at the age of 86.
He was born on July 2, 1918 in College Point, NY to Philip and Elizabeth (Vormitag) Welker.
Philip married Adele Vidlar on June 20, 1942 at St. John´s Lutheran Church Bronx, NY. He served in the Navy during World War II, was an avid gardiner and loved to go fishing.
Philip worked as a machinist inspector for R. Hoe Co. in the Bronx.
He is survived by his wife Adele (Vidlar) Welker, two daughters, June and her husband Thomas Burns of Bardonia, NY and Karen Andros of Titusville, FLA. and his cherished grandchildren, Philip and Christine Burns. Two brothers, George and Frank, predeceased him.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday Nov. 30, 2004 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm at the family owned and operated Josph W. Sorce F. H. Inc.
Services will be held on Wednesday Dec. 1, 2004 at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Pearl River.
