Thérèse  married  Jean-Baptiste DELAGE dit LAVIGUEUR 18 January 1734 in Terrebonne, Canada, New France .  Jean-Baptiste DELAGE dit LAVIGUEUR  was born 18 February 1705 in Beauport, Québec, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-de-la-Nativité-de-Beauport).  Jean-Baptiste died 28 May 1754 in Terrebonne, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne).  Jean-Baptiste was the child of Jean DELAGE dit LAVIGUEUR and Anne CHALIFOU (CHALIFOUR).

Thérèse  married  (2) Pierre ROBIN dit LAPOINTE 26 February 1759 in Terrebonne, Canada, New France .  Pierre ROBIN dit LAPOINTE  was born 27 September 1704 in Laval, Québec, Canada (Saint François-de-Sales-de-l'Ile-Jésus).  Pierre died 20 December 1760 in Terrebonne, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne).  Pierre was the child of Jean ROBIN dit LAPOINTE and Marie-Claude SERGEANT.

Did You Know? Québec Généalogie - What is a 'dit/dite' name?  When the first settlers came to Québec from France it was a custom to add a 'dit' nickname to the surname. The English translation of 'dit' is 'said'. The Colonists of Nouvelle France added 'dit' names as distinguishers. A settler might have wanted to differentiate their family from their siblings by taking a 'dit' name that described the locale to which they had relocated. The acquiring of a 'dit' name might also be the result of a casual adoption, whereby the person wanted to honor the family who had raised them. Another reason was also to distinguish themselves by taking as a 'dit' name the town or village in France from which they originated. This custom ended around 1900 when people began using only one name, either the 'dit' nickname or their original surname.
