Initially used in commercial settings, microwaves becomes affordable for home use by the 1960s and 1970s, revolutionizing cooking.

Obituary

At the Milton District Hospital Friday morning March 21, 2008. Thomas Knight of Milton formerly of Hepworth in his 80th year. Beloved husband of the former Betty Vaincourt. Loved father of William and his wife Nancy of Whitby, Carol Boyle and her husband Christopher of St. Thomas, Randall of Cambridge and Connie Wicken and her husband Harry of Georgetown. Lovingly remembered by his eight grandchildren and their spouses and six great grandchildren. Also survived by three sisters. Predeceased by one sister. Friends may call at the DOWNS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, Hepworth Wednesday afternoon from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Spring interment Zion Cemetery.
