Joseph and Rebecca had a son, Nathaniel Huntington (b. 1 Sep 1691 in Norwich, New London Co., CT; d. 1767 in Windham, Windham Co., CT). Nathaniel married Mehitable Thurston. Nathaniel and Mehitable had a son Samuel Huntington (b. 5 Jul 1731 in Windham, Windham Co., CT; d. 5 Jan 1796). Samuel was President of the Continental Congress during the adoption of the Articles of Confederation. He was a very popular Governor of Connecticut. He was a signer of the Declaration of Independence.
