FIRE WAS INCENDIARY.
Shoddy Mill of C. T. Aldrich, Jr., Totally Burned.
The shoddy mill of Charles T. Aldrich, Jr., in Woodbury village was totally destroyed by fire at an early hour Wednesday morning. The fire started in a lower room in the east side of the building, and had gained considerable headway before itw as diescovered. The force pump was used, but without success, as the flames swept through the building, completely gutting it in a few moments. The fire was of incendiary origin.
Mr. Aldrich was seen by a Spy reporter Wednesday, and he satated that there was no inurance upon the building or the property within. This is the fourth time Mr. Aldrich has suffered loss from fire, and he has decided that it will be useless to rebuild.
Mr. Aldrich intended to start for the Klondike gold field in a few days, but will have to postpone his trip until a later date.

Aldrich comes from a family widely known in Worcester and surrounding towns. His father, Charles T. Aldrich lives in Boston, and is retired from business. The elder Aldrich owned satinet mills in Millbury and Ashland, and Aldrich, junior, was more than 10 years proprietor of a prosperous satinet factory in Sutton. Before it burned, it was taxed by the town of Sutton on a valuation of $65,000.
