Louis died 9 October 1784 in Terrebonne, Québec, Canada (Saint-Louis-de-Terrebonne). Louis was the child of Louis MASSON dit DUTREMBLE and Marie-Catherine RICARD (RIQUART).
From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.
