An excellent mother to 4 children, struggled all her life to keep a good family which she did. Her mother Mabel Pellerin died when she was 14 and she was left to help raise 3 brothers. She was a trained swimmer and diver and could not go on because of her help needed at home. She was an excellent seamstress and during the war sewed dresses and sold to a local merchant. She later went to Montreal after she lost her husband and became a chef. She achieved this with little difficulty. She had a stroke and was not able to carry on with her life normally.
