Early years Louis prospected with his father William Hendry Robillard. He joined RCAF in 1939 and went overseas in WW2 in 1940. Severely injured and returned back to Canada. He suffered severe PTSD all his life. He spent many years in and out of Christie Street Hospital and later Sunnybrook. He married Evelyn Lucy Dennie on June 25,1935 in St. Mary's in Richmond Hill Ontario. He lived in King Twp early in the marriage and later spent his life with his family in Muskoka.

Invention The microwave oven was invented accidentally in 1945 by Percy Spencer, a Raytheon engineer. While testing a magnetron, he noticed microwaves melted a candy bar in his pocket.
