Joseph  married  Marie-Josephte DUMONT dite LAFLEUR 14 January 1754 in Montmagny, Canada, New France .  Marie-Josephte DUMONT dite LAFLEUR  was born 19 April 1729 in Québec, Québec, Canada (Quebec City).  Marie-Josephte died 29 October 1766 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Québec, Canada.  Marie-Josephte was the child of François DUMONT and Perrine LACROIX.

Joseph PLANTE died 10 June 1791 in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Lower Canada.
