Louis  married  Therese SARAZIN (SARRAZIN) 8 January 1781 in Saint-Eustache, Province of Québec, Canada .  Therese SARAZIN (SARRAZIN)  was born 13 August 1758 in Sainte-Rose, Laval, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Rose-de-Lima).  Therese died 17 June 1799 in Saint-Eustache, Québec, Canada.  Therese was the child of Joseph SARAZIN (SARRAZIN) and Marguerite ÉTHIER.

Louis MATTE died 13 April 1800 in Saint-Eustache, Lower Canada.
