Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Bourgarde of 145-62 8th avenue, Whitestone, announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Claire Elizabeth Bourgarde, to Army Private Walter Anthony Cusick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cusick of 114-35 126th street, South Ozone Park.
The ceremony took place in the home of the bride's parents. The Rev. Archie Buchanan, rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Whitestone, officiated.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Mrs. Hazel Jean Smith of the Bronx was matron of honor. Mr. Cusick was best man for his son.
The bride is a graduate of Walton High School, the Bronx, and a Manhattan business institute. She is living with her parents for the duration.
Private Cusick was graduated from John Adams High School, Ozone Park. he is in service two years.
