Maurice G. LaRochelle, 82 passed away peacefully at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2001. His wife of 56 years, Rose Rowe LaRochelle was with him, along with two of their six children, Maureen Estus and Donna LaRochelle-Clark.

Maurice was born Oct. 24, 1919, the son of Arthur and Georgiana (Cota) LaRochelle in Milton.

Maurice was a retired farmer. He and Rose moved into Lake Street Housing 20 years ago. 'A good place for poor, old people,' according to Papa. He was the 'youngster' then at 62 and received many phone calls from neighbors: open my window, move this please, etc. He enjoyed helping everyone out. He would shovel the drive way and sidewalk until a previous janitor thought Maurice was trying to steal his job; not the case. He stopped shoveling.

Maurice leaves his wife, Rose; daughters Maureen and husband Will Estus of Westford, Claire and husband George Pelkey of Bronson Road, Donna and husband Les Clark of Michigan and Florida, Theresa and Phil Remillard of Georgia...Read MORE...
