Hippolyte married Elisabeth LACROIX 29 July 1823 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Lower Canada . Elisabeth LACROIX was born 20 October 1804 in Saint-Hyacinthe, Québec, Canada (Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire, Saint-Hyacinthe-le-Confesseur). Elisabeth was the child of Joseph-Jean LACROIX and Marie-Anne FRADET.
From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.
