Augustin  married  Therese BELAND 10 February 1777 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Province of Québec, Canada .  Therese BELAND  was born 22 September 1732 in Neuville, Portneuf, Québec, Canada (Saint-François-de-Sales).  Therese died 2 March 1800 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Québec, Canada (Nativité-de-Notre-Dame-de-Becancour) (Saint-Edouard-de-Gentilly).  Therese was the child of Mathurin BÉLAND and Jeanne MOREL.

Augustin HAMEL died 12 December 1812 in Bécancour, Nicolet, Lower Canada .
