Alexis ROBERT dit LAFONTAINE was born 1 October 1763 in Chambly, Québec, Canada (Saint-Joseph-de-Chambly). Alexis died 12 July 1832 in Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Québec, Canada (Pointe-Olivier). Alexis was the child of Louis ROBERT dit LAFONTAINE and Josephte LEBEAU.
From its inception in the early 1600s until 1760, it was called Canada, New France.
