Charles-Jean  married  Madeleine BARBEAU dite POITEVIN 30 October 1719 in Laval, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 3 children.
Madeleine BARBEAU dite POITEVIN  was born 12 August 1698 in Lachenaie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Charles-de-Lachenaie).  Madeleine died 8 December 1785 in Saint-Vincent-de-Paul, Laval, Québec, Canada.  Madeleine was the child of Joseph BARBEAU dit POITEVIN and Elisabeth CHARBONNEAU.

Charles-Jean CHARTRAND died 5 April 1736 in Laval, Canada, New France .
