Joseph  married  Marguerite MONGEAU 1 March 1756 in Varennes, Canada, New France .  The couple had (at least) 2 children.
Marguerite MONGEAU  was born 16 March 1726 in Varennes, Québec, Canada (Sainte-Anne-de-Varennes).  Marguerite died 22 March 1789 in Lavaltrie, Québec, Canada (Saint-Antoine).  Marguerite was the child of Jean-Pierre MONGEAU and Marguerite LUSSIER.

Joseph MESSIER died 24 November 1801 in Saint-Mathias-sur-Richelieu, Lower Canada .
