Discovering the Ancestry of Gilles TROTTIER: Events, Photos & Historical Records
'Gilles (1628-1658), was captured by the Iroquois in 1654 and freed by them the following year. Afterwards, he became an interpreter and performed this function until his death. He never married and bequeathed his property to the church at Montreal.'
