The death of Devon Thomas O’Donnell, of Lower Derby, NB, occurred accidentally, on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at the age of 16. Born in Moncton, NB, he is the son of Preston O’Donnell and Christine Calhoun. Devon was a grade 11 student at Miramichi Valley High School and The Learning Center, Miramichi, he loved carpentry and mechanic work, loved his ipod, skateboarding, snowmobiling, music and spending time with his friends.

Besides his parents, Devon is survived by: one sister: Keisha of Miramichi, NB; maternal grandparents: Mary and Jim Ramsay, Kelly and Dennis Calhoun, paternal grandmother: Paulette O’Donnell; special friends: Ray and Linda Blackmore, Brian McNamara and Sacha Simonson and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Devon is predeceased by: paternal grandfather: William O’Donnell; great grandmothers: Helena O’Donnell and Leona Curtis and other great grandparents.

The family will receive visitors at Bell’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Newcastle on Friday at 11:15 AM with Father Tom Fowler officiating. Burial will take place in Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.

In Devon’s memory, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
