Mary Draper
Mary Draper, 91, formerly of 10 Libby Ave., Lewiston, and Meadowview Apartments, died Monday at d'Youville Pavillion in Lewiston, where she had lived for several years. She was born in Lewiston, July 2, 1896, the daughter of Matthew and Ella Keane Fahey. She was educated in local schools and worked at Edward Walton Bakery on Ash Street.

Mrs. Draper was in partnership with Walton in the Ash Street Cafe from 1928 to 1930. She and her husband purchased the bakery in 1934, changing the name to Draper's Bakery, which remained in the family for 34 years.

She was a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past high priestess of the Rugged Cross Shrine. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth, the Rebekahs and Thorne Corner Grange.

During World War II, Mrs. Draper was head of emergency procedures for the Red Cross. She was past president of the TB Christmas Seal drive, past president of the Zonta Business Women's Association of Lewiston-Auburn and first president of Meadowview Apartments.

While she lived at Marcotte Home, she was president, vice-president and an honorary member of the residents' council. She was married to Ralph H. Draper, who died in 1967.

Survivors include two sons, Ralph E. of Lewiston and Linwood Earl of Fullerton, Calif.; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
