LUCILLE MARIE (COTE) LEMIEUX WINOOSKI — Lucille Marie (Cote) Lemieux, 81, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2006, in the Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington following a short illness. She was born on June 5, 1924, in Winooski, the daughter of the late Omar and Blanche (Frenette) Cote. Lucille was married in Burlington to Wilfred Lemieux who predeceased her on Oct. 31, 1986. Among her many interests she enjoyed reading, knitting and playing cards with her sisters. She is survived by her eight children, Virginia Stevens and her husband, Wayne, of Florida, Jacqueline Paronto and her husband, Gerald, of Florida, Patricia Dartt of Georgia, Vt., Claire Sheppard and her husband, Gary, of Georgia, Vt., Wilfred Lemieux, Jr. and his wife, Tippie, of Virginia, Michael Lemieux and his wife, Susan, of Sheldon Springs, Vt., Joan Mongeon and her husband, Laurent, of Georgia, Vt., John Lemieux and his wife, Karen, of Georgia; 16 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Joe Cote and his wife Phyllis, Jeannette Meunier and her husband, Armand, Teresa Matton and her husband, Ernest, Blanche LaForce and her husband Tom, Roger Cote and his wife Marie, Marcel Cote and his wife Tessie, Cecile Casavant, Claire and Joe Sprano; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Lucille was predeceased by two sons-in-law, Tom Dorey Sr. and Burns Dartt. The family would like to give special thanks to Lucille's caregiver, Juli Nolan for her special care and kindness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Feb. 28, at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. Interment will follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vermont Food Bank, Inc., P.O. Box 254, South Barre, Vt. 05670. Visiting hours will on Monday February 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. in the LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main St. Winooski, Vt.
