Diocese of Chartres, Province of Beauce, France, and baptised at the Church of Saint-Pierre in that town. They were probably married there, and their two eldest children, Jean (b. about 1633) and Francois (b. about 1635) were born and baptised there."

"François Pelletier, born in France in 1635, married Dorothée, an Amerindian woman, in April 1660 at Tadoussac. [PRDH #94011, Jette p. 888, col. 1] Dorothée died and was buried April 13, 1661, leaving no issue. [PRDH #68905, Jette p. 888, col. 1]"

"On September 26, 1661, at Quebec, François married Marguerite Morriseau, of the parish of St-Pierre, Roye, in the district of Mondidier, Diocese of Amiens, Picardie. [PRDH # 55218, Jette p. 888 col. 2]."

"So then, it would be impossible to claim Amerindian ancestry from Jeanne de Vousy-Roussi, since she is a native of France. And it would also be impossible to claim Amerindian ancestry from Dorothée, the first wife of François Pelletier, since she died without issue."
