Obituary
Elizabeth (Houser) McGrath, longtime Raynham resident, died at Longmeadow of Taunton July 22, 2014. She was 88. Mrs. McGrath was the wife of the late Ralph J. McGrath. Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Eleanor F. (Hanson) Houser. A retired manager, she was employed by Antones Cleaners of Duxbury for many years. During her earlier years, Elizabeth worked as a telephone operator for the New England Telephone Company. She would often be heard saying, I was just an old telephone operator. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include four sons, Brain J. McGrath of Fryeburg, Maine, Duane McGrath of Brockton, Michael P. McGrath of Raynham, and Joseph A. McGrath of N.H.; a daughter, Eleanor F. Weeks of Plymouth; a brother, Robert Houser of Braintree; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, Saturday, July 26, at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. The family will be receiving visitors from 4 to 7 p.m. prior to the services.
