Marion (Blessing) Garavelli, 95, of Glastonbury, beloved wife of the late Frank A. Garavelli, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Avery Heights, surrounded by her family. Marion was born in Glastonbury, CT, on February 13, 1923, daughter of the late Charles and Marie (Pelton) Blessing. A resident of Glastonbury for most of her life, Marion attended Glastonbury schools, and worked for Kamin's Department Store, Popular Market, Pratt & Whitney, and Hartford Kosher Caterers. Marion enjoyed baking, crafts, and helping others. Marion will be remembered as a kind, caring, loving, and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She leaves her daughters, Donna Myers and her husband Lawrence of Windsor, and JoAnn Pagliughi and her husband Anthony of Glastonbury; and her grandchildren, Erica Myers, Angela Pagliughi, Anthony Pagliughi, and Allison Pagliughi. She was predeceased by her siblings, Raymond Blessing, Woodrow Blessing, Dorothy Lasker, her twin sister Thelma Merritt, and Constance Connery. Her family will receive friends on Saturday, March 3, 2018, from 11am - 12 noon, at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Rd., South Windsor. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12 Noon. Burial will be private at the request of her family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Glastonbury Volunteer Ambulance Association P.O.
