MRS. MAUD LEARNED

"STAFFORD SPRINGS - Mrs. Maud (Fraley) Learned, 82, of 550 Franklin Ave., Hartford, formerly of this town, died Wednesday in Hartford Hospital. She... Learned, a former textile business operator here. She was born in Pittsfield, Mass., Jan. 13, 1885, daughter of John and Amanda (Fairfield) Fraley. She attended Pittsfield schools and came here in 1926. She moved to Hartford in 1940 and made her home with her daughter, Miss Edna Learned, a Hartford school teacher. She was a member of St. Luke's Church and the guild of the church, House of the Good Shepherd Guild, South District Republican Club, Lincoln Neighborhood Circle, all of Hartford. Besides her daughter, she leaves two sons, Howard C. of Old Saybrook and Franklyn E. of this town; two sisters, Miss Ada Fraley and Mrs. Edgar Capeland; two brothers, Everett and Clifford Fraley, all of Pittsfield; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday at 11.15 at William H. Yost funeral home with a requiem high Mass at 12 in St. Edward's Church. Burial will be in Stafford Springs Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. A vigil service will be held Friday night in the funeral home."
