"ALBANY -- W. Addison Roberts, 84, of Court Drive, Greenville, died Sunday at Albany Medical Center.

He was a longtime agent with Aetna Insurance before retiring in 1989. He served on the Claverack school board for several years prior to consolidation with Hudson. He was elected to two four-year terms on the Hudson school board and served two terms as president. He joined the First Presbyterian Church in 1950 and was active as a deacon and trustee, finally serving as treasurer for 18 years.

He was most recently of the First Reformed Church, Hudson.

He was a 40-year member and a past president of the Hudson Rotary, a member of the Columbia Golf and Country Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow Member. He was also a former resident of Claverack.

Survivors include his wife, Esther (Davison) Roberts; a daughter, Ellen Hammond of Clarksville; two sons, Peter Roberts of New York City and Stephen Roberts of Pensacola, Fla; a sister, Helen Barnshaw of Cherry Hill, N.J.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Reformed Church, Hudson.
