Lorraine Venita Method
92, of Indianapolis passed away November 2, 2012. She was born August 8, 1920 in Winona, Minnesota to William and Eugenia Czaplewaki Walther. She was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. While in college she was a member of Sigma, Sigma Sigma sorority.

Lorraine taught at a the Racine County School of Agriculture & Domestic Economy in Rochester Wisconsin. In Indianapolis - Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School, Porter College, Sawyer Business College, IVTC or Indiana Vocational Technical College (Later Ivy Tech Community College) and ITT Business Institute which later became ITT Institute. While at ITT Institute she founded the sorority - Iota Theta Tau. She taught for 49 years, retiring in 1991.

During World War II she served as an executive secretary to then Admiral Philip Roache in Seattle. (After the war he was named a Commodore) Lorraine is the widow of Joseph Michael Method. She is survived by her children: Kathleen, Patrick, Tim, Kevin, Maureen, Christopher and Colleen, brother Eugene, grandchildren David, Emily, William, Heather, Anne and Allen, great grandchildren Chelsea, Arianna, Devin, Charles, Richard and Abraham. She is preceded in death by her daughter Jean Ann. A memorial service will be Tuesday, November 6 at 1 pm at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary with the family receiving friends from 11 am until service time.
