We are two sisters, good-looking, sociable, refined and educated, but we have no admirers. We will not talk nonsense and think, perhaps that is the cause. What is your opinion ?

We think you are correct in your conjecture, and we think it a good and sufficient reason for your not having admirers. The average man has not sufficient courage to visit, far less to marry- a woman who will not talk nonsense, and such a woman would be a stupid, not to say a dangerous companion for life.
